The artists selected by the juror, Kathleen Waterloo,  are listed above. Due to COVID-19 mandates, the Encaustic Art Institute and the Museum of Encaustic Art are closed. The exhibition will be posted online with the option to purchase paintings selected for this exhibit. There is also an exhibition catalog that will be available for viewing online as well as with the option to purchase soft-cover printed copies. All of this will launch earlier than we planned for the in-person exhibition. The launch date for the online exhibition is April 25.

The juror, Kathleen Waterloo, awarded the exhibition prizes as we could not have visitors to the museum vote.

1st Place Cash Award: Donna Johnson (GA)  Balancing Act

For second place, (One-year EAI Membership – $100 value) there was a tie:

Harriette Tsosie (NM) Nest and Linda Lowery (VA) V with Tears

Until the exhibition launches online, we will keep all the call for art information available below:

**** COVID-19 update: Due to the COVID-19 mandates, if the opening or the exhibition itself is closed – we will be adding a full representation of the juried pieces on our website with the ability to purchase online.  We will also market to this effect.  If the opening is canceled due to the CDC recommendations, have online representation of the accepted pieces through slideshows, individual images and an exhibition catalog posted on our website and social media. Please see the home page of our website for more information and check back on this page and the entry page frequently for any updated information. Accepted entrants, please see the important dates/deadlines/delivery of art headings of this call for art for more specific details – do NOT ship your work to us without either contacting Mehrens@eainm.com first. We will be emailing the accepted artists with updated information regarding the COVID-19 situation at the time that the acceptance notices go out.

Prizes will be determined by tally/vote taking place with all visitors to the Museum of Encaustic Art. This will take place within the length of the exhibition, and will also be marketed as public participation.  If the COVID-19 situation dictates the closing of the gallery/museum, the juror, Kathleen Waterloo, will decide the prizes and winners will be notified by email.
