The Museum of Encaustic Art presents the Second Annual National Juried Encaustic/wax Exhibition: Global Warming is REAL. The exhibit will be on view from July 14 through September 2. The opening reception will be held at the Museum on Saturday, July 14 from noon – 5 pm.

In addition to the exhibit, the Musuem is collaborating with ARTsmart, a local non-profit youth art organization. During their summer ARTcamp, with instructor Melinda Baker, a class of 20 will be learning encaustic and the resulting work on the theme of endangered animals will be featured as part of the National Juried Exhibition. On Sunday, July 15 from 4 – 6 pm, the Museum of Encaustic Art, as part of its Second Annual Art Exhibition on the theme “Global Warming is REAL” hosts the Santa Fe Chapter of Citizens’ Climate Lobby Lecture: “Creating the Political Will for a Liveable Planet”.
