The Artisans Materials Expo is September 28-30, and with it, a collaborative EAI/ IEA event, FLUX: An Encaustic Retreat. September 27-30 in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
FLUX: An Encaustic Retreat will feature some special encaustic events, talks, and demonstrations.

Keynote Speaker: Alyson Stanfield
The always enjoyable IEA La Vendéenne Awards banquet honoring persons who have achieved exemplary stature in various categories of achievement related to encaustic will be held at the fabulous Gabriel’s Restaurant in Santa Fe. Serving food of the Southwest and Old Mexico, Gabriel’s is renowned in New Mexico and is considered one of the best restaurants in America by Zagat. Gabriel’s offers an authentic mix of modern and classic Mexican and Southwestern dishes together with seasonal specials. The keynote speaker for the awards banquet is Alyson Stanfield, (aka The Art Biz Coach).
Alyson Stanfield, (aka The Art Biz Coach), who will be our keynote speaker at the La Vendéenne awards banquet during FLUX, will also be offering one-on-one consultations during the weekend. More information about this incredible professional development opportunity may be found here. Twenty-five percent of Alyson’s fee goes to supporting the EAI/IEA retreat.

Juried Exhibition
There will also be an EAI/IEA members-only juried exhibition at the Museum of Encaustic Art in Santa Fe with the theme “Melting Pot/Melting Point“. The exhibition will be showing from September 29 – October 21 with an opening reception on Friday, September 28th from 5 – 8 pm. The juror for this exhibition is the distinguished Francisco Benitez.
