Please click more information for detailed instructions and screenshots, but here are some basics to get you started:

When you have logged in, you will see the Call for art for “2020 (MMXX) Beginnings National Encaustic/Wax Juried Exhibition”. It will have your name(s) and a button to the right of the title of the show that says “Jury this call”. Click that to begin the jury process.

Once you’ve clicked the “Jury this call” button you should see the “categories” listed (see image below) :

You’ll be looking at pieces from all the categories –  it’s broken down into categories mainly to give you an overview of the type of work submitted for the show. If you want to round it out so you have something from each category that’s fine, but not absolutely necessary – it’s up to you whatever you feel makes the best showing.  To get started just click the links for each category. If you need additional instructions, watch this video: https://vimeo.com/54216859    You’ll also find the juror instruction video (once you’ve logged in) if you click on “Help” from the menu.

Entrants were allowed to submit 1 to 3 images per entry – choose only one image/piece per artist to be juried into the show. The jury process works on a score of 0-5.  A piece with a score of 5 will indicate that piece has been accepted, any piece with a numerical score between 0 – 4 will not be accepted into the show.  If you’ve decided on a piece for sure it may be helpful to mark the other images for that artist/entrant (if they’ve submitted more than one image) with a point score of 0 or 1 right then so you’re sure that you’ve only chosen one piece for that entrant.

(Please remember that the entrants were allowed to submit up to three images for consideration, but each artist can only have one piece selected for the show. They were instructed to submit full-size images (not details) so you should see up to three separate pieces for an artist entry, but not everyone follows the rules, so some people may only have one piece but submitted details of that same piece to make up their three images – just be sure you choose only one piece per artist entry).
