JL FASHEMPOUR (OH)

Rust belt birds nest, encaustic, oil stick, antique hand-cut nails, on cradled wood panel, 8 x 8 inches

Artist Statement:

The quote is about change and adaptation, If a city bird had no access to twigs & grasses, they would adapt. Peregrin falcons build their nests on the widow ledge of skyscrapers, seabirds steal food from tourists at resorts, and we save our shopping bags, and repurpose almost anything. We now use our scarves and bandanas as face masks.  It’s how all life survives, those that do not adapt, do not survive.

Price: $160.00 + $45 shipping fee
