Artist Statement:

“Genie,” is part of a series (“Pots”) reacting to Covid 19. The pots are a metaphor for the pandemic’s phases, including: Chaos, Isolation, Social Distancing, Escape, Shelter in Place, Sherds, Ventilator, and Hope.  “Genie” represents the virus’ escape and our frantic attempts to contain its spread and mutation.
