Walking in Peace, cold wax, oil, dry pigment, collage on wood cradled panel, 10 x 10 inches
Artist Statement:
As the Pandemic progressed, I found peace by walking in The Nature Preserve, a recent discovery near my home. I pulled inward and my work became quieter, smaller, and more controlled as I struggled with containing the chaos within.
This artwork contrasts geometric form with impressions of light and shadow on the water and forest using color, texture and value.
There is a formal concern exploring the luminosity and transparency of cold wax medium along with a desire to explore the two-dimensionality of the picture plane while also creating depth.
Price: $400.00 + $45 shipping fee
