JIM GAUTIER is a New Mexico-based artist. A black and white fine art photographer for almost 50 years, Jim incorporates encaustic using his photographs as the foundation for his work. The depth and feeling of encaustic brought Jim what he wanted. He soon found that when you learn the basics of encaustic there is no limit to the creativity one can achieve. Jim has been in many group photographic and fine art exhibitions and has had several solo shows. He has been published in over 30 magazine articles and 5 books.
