Saturday, July 20^th marked the opening of the 50 States/200 Artists first curated exhibition for the Museum of Encaustic Art in Santa Fe, NM. The opening was a success. Attendance was approximately 175 people between noon and 5. Artists from near and far came to the opening and were able to meet the patrons as well as meet up with each other.

Francisco Benitez gave a wonderful talk about the history of encaustic. EAI Memberships increased, workshop sign-ups, and Museum donations were given.

We want to thank all of you who attended and a heart-felt appreciation for all of you who generously donated their work to the Museum of Encaustic Art.  We, of course, would not exist if it weren’t for you.
